Vice President Harris is under fire for continued problems at the southern border. Even members of her own party, like Texas Democrat Henry Cuellar, have abandoned her.

Cuellar says the Vice President has been ignoring border communities, like his home district in Texas.

When Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was grilled this week by the Senate, he admitted the Vice President has not been directly involved in his department's key border policy decisions. He denied she is the president's "border czar" and, instead, said she was working on "root causes" of migration.
