The U.S. and its closest allies are publicly blaming hackers affiliated with the Chinese government for the Microsoft Exchange Server hack earlier this year.

The breach left tens of thousands of organizations vulnerable to compromise.

The U.S., U.K., European Union, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and NATO all will criticize China's Ministry of State Security.

A senior Biden administration official says they'll rip the ministry for using "criminal contract hackers" to conduct cyber-enabled extortion and other schemes.
