Apple has announced it will spend over $1 billion to open a new campus in Raleigh, North Carolina. The campus will open in the Research Triangle area, near North Carolina State University, Duke University and the University of North Carolina, hiring around 3,000 to work on software engineering and more. Apple has another $1 billion campus that will open next year in Austin, Texas. The company also said it will hire an additional 5,000 in San Diego, 3,000 in Culver City and 700 in Boulder, Colorado by 2026. Apple hopes to add 20,000 jobs over the next five years.
