A couple visiting an art gallery in South Korea March 28th accidentally vandalized a painting worth $440,000 after thinking the piece was an interactive experience. The couple noticed some paint cans and brushes on display near American graffiti artist JonOne's painting and thought it was an invitation to add their own "flair" to the piece. Security cameras caught the couple splattering green paint onto the nearly half-million dollar painting. After they were arrested, the exhibit's boss said the gallery wouldn't press charges since "they thought they were allowed to do that as participatory art and made a mistake." The exhibit now has a barrier and sign that reads "Do not touch" in front of it. The gallery is waiting to see if JonOne wants "address" the contributions of the two freelance artists.
