After the Oakland Raiders defeated the Detroit Lions this past Sunday, a man slipped and fell onto the tracks at a stadium BART station as a train approached. To the rescue came veteran transit worker John O'Connor, who grabbed the man's hand and pulled him back to the platform right in the nick of time. On Thursday night, the Raiders will honor O'Connor as a "Hometown Hero" during their game against the Los Angeles Chargers. "I thought the train was going to cut him in half, honestly," O'Connor told KPIX on Sunday. "I didn't want to see this guy die...God put me there for a reason, I guess."
