‘Only a REAL INDIAN Can Defeat the Fake Indian’: Shiva vs. Warren is going to be the next summer blockbuster

Massachusetts has taken an early lead for most entertaining Senate race of the year. It was pretty good already, since it featured Elizabeth Warren. But now it’s even better.

Shiva Ayyadurai, who was born in Bombay, India, is running as an Independent for Warren’s US Senate seat. For over a month, his campaign bus has been parked in front of a building that Shiva owns in Cambridge, just a mile from Warren’s home. Giant signs on each side of the bus include a large photo of Elizabeth Warren wearing a headdress. The sign reads, “Only a REAL INDIAN Can Defeat the Fake Indian.”

Kinda funny, right? Because he’s originally from India, and, well, you get it.

Except it’s not funny to Elizabeth Warren, who continues to assert that she is Native American, but refuses to put the issue to rest with one of those simple mail-order DNA ancestry tests. Shiva actually sent her one of those kits for her birthday last year, but she returned it.

Last month, when asked about her Native American heritage claims, Warren spun her own Romeo and Juliet tale about her white dad eloping with her Cherokee mom because her dad’s bigoted family opposed the union. But a Cherokee genealogist researched Warren’s story and found zero evidence to support it.

Regardless, Warren’s is sticking with her story because it’s worked out pretty well for her so far. And she wants Shiva’s signs removed pronto.

So, guess who got a letter from the city of Cambridge informing him that his clever signs “lack the appropriate permits” and violate the city zoning ordinance? Shiva says it can’t be a zoning issue because the signs are on his bus. But the city is threatening fines of $300 per day, and additional legal penalties if the signs remain.

“For pure entertainment value, this race will be hard to beat.”

Shiva’s not playing around. He has filed a federal lawsuit alleging the city of Cambridge is violating his constitutional free speech rights. He says, “This is a political vendetta by City officials who are supporters of Elizabeth Warren.”

This Native American heritage problem is not going away for Warren anytime soon. Especially not while a “REAL INDIAN” is running against her. The only thing is, Shiva might have some explaining of his own to do since he claims to be the inventor of email.

Like I said, for pure entertainment value, this race will be hard to beat.
