Usher to Host 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards, Halsey & Lizzo to Perform Live

The upcoming 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards will undoubtedly be an epic night, and it will all be hosted by the incredibly talented Usher! The R&B star has officially been revealed to the the annual awards show's host this year at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, as well as perform live.

In a statement, Usher says of his upcoming hosting duties, "I'm so excited to host the 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards and help celebrate the music that I and millions of other music lovers listened to this past year. It'll be like hanging out with old friends."

Halsey and Lizzo will also be taking the stage as performers during the March 29th festivities, joining previously-announced performer Justin Bieber with more performing artists to be announced.

Both Halsey and Lizzo received multiple nominations this year, and both are up for Female Artist of the Year, Best Lyrics and Best Remix. Additionally, Halsey's Benny Blanco collab "Eastside" which also features Khalid is nominated for Best Collaboration, her cover of Jonas Brothers' "Sucker" is up for Best Cover Song, and the music video for BTS' "Boy With Luv" in which she appears is nominated for Best Music Video. And Lizzo has scored nominations for Song of the Year for her hit "Truth Hurts," Best New Pop Artist and Best New Hip Hop Artist.

The winners for Best Lyrics, Best Remix, Best Music Video and Best Cover Song will be determined by fans via votes on social media. Social voting has officially kicked off and will close on Monday, March 23rd at 8pm ET/5pm PT for all categories, except for Best Fan Army which will continue through Friday, March 27th at 9am ET/6am PT. Fans can vote using the appropriate category and nominee hashtags or by visiting iHeartRadio.com/awards.

Other artists receiving multiple nominations this year include Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Daddy Yankee, Dan + Shay, Drake, Ed Sheeran, El Fantasma, J Balvin, Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber, Khalid, Kygo, Lil Nas X, Luke Combs, Maren Morris, Post Malone, Selena Gomez, SHAED, Shawn Mendes, Snow, Summer Walker and Taylor Swift.
