Elf On The Shelf Undergoes Emergency Surgery After Vicious Dog Attack

An Elf on the Shelf is in tact today thanks to the heroic efforts of doctors in Orlando, Florida.

Seven-year-old Aubrie Thelen's dog Zoey viciously attacked the Christmastime staple, severing its right arm. Thankfully, Aubrie's mother works at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and was able to get the doll into emergency surgery.

The skilled doctors there put on magical Santa gloves and were able to patch up the elf, finishing off his treatment with a shower of glitter.

They not only saved the elf, but they saved Christmas at the Thelen house.
