State Senator Will Espero has officially entered the race for the first congressional district.  Espero announced his candidacy to replace Colleen Hanabusa at the State Capitol yesterday.  He highlighted his 22 years of government service - 14 years in the state legislature and eight working with the administration of Mayor Frank Fasi in the City and County of Honolulu.  The 52-year-old Espero is currently in his third term in the state senate, representing Ewa on Oahu. Espero is only the second person to declare his candidacy for the 1st Congressional district.  The first person to announce his bid was Honolulu City Councilman Stanley Chang.
