The Royal Hawaiian Center in Waikiki has been sold. Owner Kamehameha Schools said Friday it sold the center to J.P. Morgan Asset Management for an undisclosed price. Kamehameha Schools said it will retain the land beneath the Kalakaua Avenue shopping center and will lease it to the buyer. The shopping center was built in 1979 and covers 322-thousand-square feet, featuring 110 shops and restaurants.
