A man tried twice, unsuccessfully, to bring a multi-tool utility knife through a Transportation Security Administration checkpoint at the Honolulu International Airport this week. A TSA blog indicated the man was allowed to leave the area and place the knife in his checked bag. But, when he returned, the knife was detected concealed inside a thermos. The blog did not say if agents arrested the man or allowed him to proceed to his flight without a knife.
