Police arrested two sailors on leave from a San Diego-based amphibious assault ship in two separate incidents in Waikiki early Wednesday morning. A 33-year-old sailor was arrested just after 12:30 a.m. for allegedly trying to break into a car on Kalakaua Avenue near the Moana Hotel. An hour later, a 24-year-old sailor was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault near the Waikiki Aquarium. Both were assigned to the USS Boxer, which arrived in Pearl Harbor Tuesday for a brief layover. The sailors were turned over to Navy authorities.
